Purim Celebrations in Liverpool
Last week, we covered a couple of events for a regular client in Liverpool. This educational facility has a primary school and secondary school on the same site. We supplied equipment for both schools on a very special day in the Jewish calendar - Purim.
What is Purim?
Purim is a Jewish holiday that commemorates the saving of the Jewish people from annihilation at the hands of an official of the Achaemenid Empire named Haman, as it is recounted in the Book of Esther. Haman was the royal vizier to the Persian king Ahasuerus.
It was great to be a part of the event and learn how this event is celebrated by Jewish people. The majority of school staff and children were dressed in fancy dress, and it looked like a really fun day for those involved. We have supplied inflatable and fun equipment to this client for their Purim celebrations for a number of years, and it's always a pleasure to be of assistance.
What did we supply for these Purim events?
As we supplied equipment for children and young adults between the ages of 4 and 18, there was a mixture of items involved.
The primary school decided to hire a selection of inflatable and fun games, which were set up in the sports hall;
The secondary school decided to hire retro arcade games and set these up inside a spacious, empty classroom;
Both events received great feedback from our contacts at the school. We are so glad that everyone enjoyed the equipment and that it added some joy to the celebrations.
