Easter parties and events 2025!

With Christmas and New Year all wrapped up, the next major UK holiday will be in April. As I write this news article and look out of my window to see thick sheets of ice clinging to my drive, I am reminding myself that in just over 11 weeks time, the clocks will be changing and we'll, hopefully, be seeing lots more sunshine and certainly be getting more daylight hours than darkness hours. The switch to British Summer Time is on Sunday 30th March 2025 where at 1am, clocks will be moved forward to 2am.

Easter, this year, begins on Friday 18th April 2025 with Good Friday and Easter Monday is on Monday 21st April. Just two short weeks after Easter Monday, it's another shorter working week with Early May Bank Holiday landing on Monday 5th May 2025.

Around Easter time, we see an influx of parties and events as customers begin to start their Spring and Summer celebrations as the weather generally gets warmer and sunnier. Schools, colleges and universities begin to plan and host their seasonal and end of year celebrations as well as corporate clients hosting more promotional / brand awareness exercises as well as staging more staff reward / integration events.

From feedback from schools in the North West, the last week or two prior to the Easter holidays is a great time for student reward / celebration events to be held. This is a period where the weather has generally improved and students are about to have a break prior to returning to school for their end of year examinations. We regularly supply equipment for both indoor and outdoor events at this time of the year. Popular hire products include the fantastic Easter Globe Bouncy Castle which is not only a fun, active inflatable unit but also a great photo opportunity prop.

Easter offers

Over Easter weekend, we'll be offering our full range of equipment including bouncy castles, soft play, inflatable games, arcade machines, inflatable slides and more.

We'll also be offering special offers to customers across the Easter weekend (18th April 2025 - 21st April 2025). Below, is an offer that we've put on the last couple of years which is likely to return for Easter 2025.

How to plan the perfect Easter party

Planning the perfect Easter party involves balancing fun activities, delicious food, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you organise a memorable Easter celebration:

1. Set the Tone and Theme

  • Traditional Easter: If you prefer a classic approach, think pastel colours (don't forget about our pastel range of bouncy castles and soft play), flowers, and symbols like bunnies, eggs, and crosses.
  • Springtime Picnic: A laid-back outdoor theme with picnic blankets, fresh flowers, and light, seasonal foods. An Easter themed bouncy castle in the garden is a great way of entertaining the children.
  • Eggstravaganza: Focus on egg hunts and games with vibrant decorations, egg-inspired treats, and egg-dyeing stations.

2. Choose a Location

  • At Home: Ideal for smaller gatherings. You can set up different activity stations, like an Easter egg hunt area, craft station, or even hire a photo booth.
  • Outdoors: If the weather permits, a residential garden can offer plenty of space for games, an egg hunt, and a picnic-style meal.
  • Rental Venue: For larger parties, consider renting a hall or a party venue and then add your own personal touches.

3. Guest List & Invitations

  • Guest List: Consider who you want to invite—family, friends, or both? Also, remember any dietary restrictions, especially for children.
  • Invitations: Send out invitations early, either digitally, by mail or handing out personally - at the school gates, for example. You can use fun Easter-themed designs (think bunny ears, flowers, or eggs) to set the mood. Online platforms like Paperless Post or Evite make it easy to send invites and track RSVPs. You can find a range of free party invites to download and edit on our website here.

4. Easter Egg Hunt

  • Location: Choose an area that's easy to manage, either indoors or outdoors, and ensure there’s enough space for hiding eggs.
  • Eggs: You can use plastic eggs filled with small treats (confectionary, toys, or coins) or DIY paint eggs as keepsakes.
  • Age Groups: For fairness, divide the hunt into age-appropriate zones (younger kids may hunt in one area, and older kids in another).
  • Special Eggs: Hide one or two golden eggs with a grand prize to make the hunt even more exciting!

5. Decorations

  • Table Settings: Use pastel-colored tablecloths, napkins, and plates, with bunnies, flowers, or crosses as a centerpiece.
  • Balloons & Streamers: Hang balloons or streamers in pastel shades to create an Easter atmosphere.
  • Craft Corner: Set up a DIY station for decorating Easter eggs or making Easter baskets, which can double as a fun activity and party favor.
  • Flowers: Fresh flowers like daffodils, tulips, or lilies can be placed on tables or around the party space.

6. Food and Drinks

  • Brunch or Dinner: Easter meals often feature brunch dishes like:
    • Egg salad, deviled eggs, and quiche
    • Fruit salad and croissants
    • Ham, lamb, or a baked chicken
    • Hot cross buns, cinnamon rolls, or other baked goods
  • Drinks: Serve refreshing drinks like lemonade, iced tea, or fruit punches. For adults, consider mimosas, Bloody Marys, or wine.
  • Easter Treats: Include Easter-themed desserts like:
    • Carrot cake, cupcakes decorated with bunny ears, or Easter-themed cookies (egg-shaped or bunny-shaped).
    • Chocolate Easter eggs, jelly beans, and pastel-coloured sweets in bowls around the party space.

7. Games & Activities

  • Easter Egg Hunt: A classic, of course!
  • Egg-and-Spoon Race: Have an outdoor relay race where guests balance eggs on spoons. You can make it extra fun, and save on time cleaning up, by using plastic eggs!
  • Pin the Tail on the Bunny: A fun, simple game for kids.
  • Easter Bingo: Create bingo cards with Easter symbols like bunnies, eggs, chicks, etc.
  • Craft Station: Set up a DIY Easter egg or bunny ears crafting table for kids and adults alike to engage in some creative fun.

8. Music & Entertainment

  • Easter Playlist: Create a playlist with springtime or Easter-themed music, or include some light background music.
  • Photo Booth: Set up a photo booth with Easter-themed props like bunny ears, flower crowns, and pastel-coloured backdrops for guests to take fun photos.

9. Party Favours

  • Give out small Easter baskets or bags filled with chocolate eggs, sweets, or small toys.
  • If you’re hosting a family-friendly gathering, you can also create little DIY Easter baskets or provide small toys like bunny-shaped stuffed animals.

10. Thank You Notes

  • Send out a thank-you card to all your guests after the party to show your appreciation. You can incorporate an Easter theme, such as a picture of a bunny or an egg, and include a personal message.

Bonus Tips:

  • Food Prep: To keep the stress down, prep as much as you can in advance. Bake desserts a day before and set up a DIY Easter egg station for guests to enjoy during the party.
  • Dietary Options: Make sure to offer a variety of foods to accommodate dietary restrictions (vegetarian, gluten-free, etc.), and label food items.
  • Weather Consideration: If you're hosting outdoors, have a backup plan in case of rain, wind or cold weather. Renting a party venue can sometimes be a saving grace if the weather is too warm or too rainy / cold as it provides shelter.

With a blend of meaningful traditions, fun activities, and plenty of delicious food, your Easter party will be a wonderful time for all involved!
